Job Position Description

Description of Duties

– Assisting the team in different activities, such as gathering, processing, storing, and managing data that involve transactions and other activities.

– Suggesting indicators and tabulation plans to conduct correlations among variables and dataset analyses.

– Identifying the latest technological trends

– Develop daily reports on the basis of requirements by the Analyst

– Support daily management and maintenance of the content that is posted on the website, social media, and internal reporting.

– Support identifying and developing new opportunities for products, projects and partnerships with key partners.

Requirements

– Bachelor’s student, preferably in social sciences, computer science, or economics.

– Eager to learn and get experience in an NGO.

– Interested in tech developments in Kosovo and the region.

– Good understanding of statistics

– Strong English verbal and written skills

– Strong interpersonal skills, including skills in coordination and the ability to work in teams.

– Knowledge/usage of statistical or BI tools or Python / R language is beneficial

Position: Data Analyst & Researcher 

Job Position Description 

Purpose

STIKK aims to have a person responsible for daily, monthly, and yearly activities in the context of profiling displacement situations related to the ICT Sector in Kosovo; and by which certain methodologies and tools can be used towards profiling data which later can be transformed into information and evidence.

The analyst will support the SAU unit at STIKK by:

1 – Working on one or several research projects (i.e. STIKK Barometer) related to information analysis and displacement data.

2 – Market research

3 – Assist the team in selecting daily milestones/tasks related to the ICT sector in Kosovo for the benefit of STIKK’s community

The Analyst will be part of the SAU team and will report to the director of STIKK.

Description of Duties

1. Cross-comparison of (durable solutions) indicators from several datasets

STIKK has supported a lot of companies within Kosovo with exercising their internal activities and tried to lead other exporters in new leads to find new markets. Findings have only been made available at the level of a single report (called the Barometer) through non-governmental and governmental sources. However, at the national level, business owners and STIKK partners may also be interested in a thorough analysis of the internal market, including a standardized approach to cross-country trends and patterns on key displacement indicators.

The analyst in this case will support:

– Reviewing and consolidating (durable solutions) indicators and datasets and actual methodologies to conduct research.

– Gathering, processing, storing and managing data that involve the transaction and other activities

– Developing/reviewing research questions and analytical models to test.

– Suggesting indicators and tabulation plans conduct correlations among variables and dataset analyses.

– Conducting statistical analysis of the data, and identifying relevant trends, patterns and key findings.

– Develop a report, according to the agreed reporting plan, including visualizations and narrative interpretations of the findings as required.

– Drafting recommendations for the use of (durable solutions) indicators and systematizing cross-country analysis, reporting and visualization of datasets.

2. Combine quantitative and qualitative data for analysis and visualization

STIKK’s methodological approach to data includes quantitative data collection (Sources: ASK, CBK, Gov. Agencies i.e., KIESA, ARBK, etc.), supplemented with qualitative data (sample-based company surveys). The analyst will support:

– Reviewing of techniques related to analysis and visualization of qualitative data, including literature research and review, identification of key resources and key informant interviews and identification of case studies and best practices.

– Reviewing and consolidating qualitative information from the STIKK partners and stakeholders.

– Developing a framework with recommendations on how to combine quantitative and qualitative data for analysis and visualization.

3. Provide support to the other colleagues/team members of STIKK.

The Analyst will support with:

– Daily management and maintenance of the content that is posted in the website, social media, and internal reporting.

– Identifying and developing new opportunities for products, projects and partnerships with key partners.

– Monitoring and evaluation of tool usage and impact.

Requirements

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies or other relevant fields. Studies specialized in population sciences and/or computer science are an asset.

– Proof of any previous academic written work, such as project proposal, academic research, and/or published work.

Experience and achievements

– Knowledge of population data management, with knowledge of different data collection methodologies.

– Demonstrated skills and knowledge in writing, editing and publishing material and using multiple communication tools and tactics is highly desirable.

Skills and qualities

– Advanced computer skills, including analytical software (e.g. PowerBI, SPSS, STATA), proficiency in computers/software, emails, websites and communication and networking software.

– Strong interpersonal skills, including skills in coordination and the ability to work in teams.

– Solid analytical, writing and presentation skills

– Ability to be product/achievement oriented in short periods.

– Demonstrated interest in social/development work; affinity with NGOs.

– Strong English verbal and written skills.

– Good knowledge and experience with database design software.

MINT dhe STIKK nënshkruajnë zgjatjen e kontratës për shfrytëzimin e inkubatorit të biznesit në Bërnicë

Nënshkruhet Ndryshim-plotësimi (aneksi) i kontratës për dhënien në shfrytëzim të inkubatorit të biznesit në Bërnicë.
Drejtoresha Ekzekutive e Shoqatës për Teknologji të Informacionit dhe Komunikimit të Kosovës (STIKK), Vjollca Çavolli u prit në takim nga Ministrja e Industrisë, Ndërmarrësisë dhe Tregtisë, Rozeta Hajdari me të cilën kanë nënshkruar Aneksin e kontratës ndërmjet MINT dhe STIKK për dhënien në shfrytëzim të Inkubatorit të Biznesit në Bërnicë, nën administrim të Ministrisë së Industrisë, Ndërmarrësisë dhe Tregtisë, konform ligjit Nr. 04/ L-159 për Zonat Ekonomike.
Ky inkubator me sipërfaqe të përgjithshme prej 3930m2, do të shfrytëzohet nga STIKK për periudhën 5 vjeqare të ardhshme, me qëllim që të kontribuoj dhe lehtësojë krijimin e bizneseve potenciale të qëndrueshme, të cilat ofrojnë shërbime të përbashkëta në ndërmarrësi, shërbime përkrahëse të biznesit, avancim të shkathtësive dhe teknologjisë si dhe çështje të tjera që ndërlidhen me inkubator.

KosICT Technology Festival – 11th Edittion

The KosICT Technology Festival kicked off its eleventh anniversary with 60 speakers and over 2200 physical participants, reaffirming itself as one of the leading events in the region for exchanging and promoting technology ideas.

KosICT was celebrated in the Youth and Sports Center in Prishtina and was powered by ProCredit Bank Kosovo.

Between the 7th and 8th of October 2022, top decision-makers and officials, company executives, startup developers and well-known experts from various technology sectors shared their vision and best practices with participants with diverse backgrounds and professions.

The main stage of the 11th edition of KosICT was moderated for the third time in a row by Global Public Speaking & TEDx Coach, Peter Hopwood who officially opened the festival by highlighting some of the main topics to be discussed over the two days. The welcoming note for the audience was made by the President of the Board of Directors of Kosovo ICT Association (STIKK), Mr Valon Canhasi who also gave a brief description of the path and achievements of KosICT over the last 11 years.

The 11th edition of KosICT was honoured by the presence of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti who spoke about the support of the government to the ICT community in Kosovo, as well as, some of the future plans related to the growth of the local ICT industry. The floor was then passed to Norway’s Ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo, H.E. Jens Erik Grøndahl who highlighted the potential of digitalization and the ICT industry for the development of Kosovo and the whole region. Then, the Deputy Mayor of Pristina Mr Alban Zogaj shared the will of the Municipality of Prishtina to support all future ICT projects in the future. His remarks were followed by the Executive Director of Innovation Center Kosovo, Mr Uranik Begu.

During the two days of the festival, a total of 60 speakers (26 international and 34 local) explored topics like Blockchain, Metaverse, Artificial Intelligence, Power of Innovation, Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, Digitalization, 5G Networks, Smart Cities, Women in Tech and many more. KosICT was attended by over 3,200 participants.

Continuing the tradition of supporting and promoting promising Start-ups, KosICT once again welcomed the Innovation Fair, where 9 start-ups highlighted their work. A total of 9 ICT companies and 44 kids from Shkolla Digjitale, J-Coders, BONEVET and Finnish school were part of Future developers Corner, sponsored by Gjirafa. The Brokerage Event brought together 24 local and international businesses for 36 private meetings and potential partnership explorations for two days. Two E-gaming tournaments were part of the festival as well.

STIKK lanson iniciativën ‘Bridge’, urë lidhëse midis kompanive të TIK dhe insitucioneve arsimore

Kompanitë anetare të STIKK dhe institucionet arsimore partnere u dakorduan për një bashkëpunim më të ngushtë përmes iniciativës ‘Bridge’.

‘Bridge’ është një iniciativë e STIKK për të nxitur bashkëpunimin midis institucioneve të arsimit të lartë ose profesional, me kompani anëtare të STIKK me qëllim shkëmbimin e informatave mbi kërkesat e tregut të punës.

Iniciativa ‘Bridge’ zhvillohet në formën e një ‘workshop’-i 1 deri në 2 ditë në të cilin përfaqësues të kompanive tregojnë për një teknologji/produkt të caktuar ose gjendjen e tregut të TIK nga e cila mund të përfitojnë studentët.

Për implementimin e kësaj iniciative STIKK organizoi Martech #5 me të ftuar përfaqësues te kompanive të STIKK dhe institucioneve arsmimore partnere.
Kompanitë anëtare të STIKK treguan për ekspertizën e tyre, kërkesat e tregut dhe mënyrat si planifikojnë të bashkëpunojnë me universitetet dhe qendrat e trajnimeve profesionale.
Përfaqësuesit e botës akademike shpalosën programet e tyre dhe treguan gatishmëri për t’u bërë pjesë e iniciativës ‘Bridge’.
Në fund, të pranishmit u dakorduan për disa pika:
 – Organizimi i vizitave të përfaqësuesve/studentëve të universiteteve tek kompanitë anëtare të STIKK.
 – Mundësi për studentët për punë praktike gjatë verës tek kompanitë e STIKK.
 – Mbajtja e ligjeratave dhe workshop-eve nga kompanitë e STIKK në insitucionet e arsimit të lartë dhe profesional.
 – Bashkëpunimi mes kompanive të STIKK dhe universiteteve për R&D.
 – Mundësi për studentët që të zhvillojne temën e diplomës në kompani të STIKK.

‘Bridge’ krijon një hapsirë të shëndetshme për të shkëmbyer mendimet sipas tre perspektivave të ndryshme, gjë e cila do të çojë në identifikimin e talenteve, rritje të angazhimit dhe konkurrencës si edhe zvogëlim të hendekut midis shkathtësive të kërkuara nga tregu i TIK dhe ofertës së institucioneve të arsimit të lartë ose profesional. Ky fakt ka rëndësi të veçantë pasi adreson sado pak një nga sfidat kryesore me të cilat përballet sektori i TIK në Kosovë, mungesën e fuqisë punëtore të kualifikuar.

PLATFORMA E PARË RAJONALE E E-COMMERCE

Të gjitha rregulloret ligjore për krijimin dhe drejtimin e një biznesi e-commerce në CEFTA janë të disponueshme në një vend.

13.09.2022: Një nga avantazhet e drejtimit të një biznesi e-commerce, si dega e ekonomisë me rritjen më të shpejtë, është mundësia reale dhe e qëndrueshme për të zgjeruar tregun përtej kufijve fizikë dhe për të shfrytëzuar potencialin e rajonit. Duke patur parasysh se rajoni përbëhet nga rreth 20 milionë banorë, për drejtuesit e e-commerce-ve në Kosovë kjo do të nënkuptonte një rritje të dhjetëfishuar të blerësve potencialë.

Mundësitë për një zgjerim të tillë rajonal dhe themelimin e një biznesi e-commerce në tregjet e CEFTA-s janë në fokus të modulit të lançuar të platformës rajonale Ecommerce4All.eu – “Rregullore në e-commerce”, ku rregulloret ligjore, ligjet dhe manualet që janë specifike janë të disponueshme në një vend për secilin nga 7 tregjet e CEFTA-s dhe të cilat tregojnë se si të ngrihet dhe drejtohet një biznes e-commerce (në një mënyrë të lehtë për t’u kuptuar) në secilin prej tregjeve.

Manualet, që janë bërë për secilin treg të CEFTA-s veç e veç, janë pika kryesore e këtij moduli, veçanërisht për faktin se ato përmbajnë të gjithë informacionin e rëndësishëm se si të filloni dhe drejtoni një biznes e-commerce, cilat janë informacionet e nevojshme që çdo shitës duhet të dijë dhe cilat janë të drejtat për të mbrojtur konsumatorët online në secilin prej këtyre tregjeve.

Për shembull, nëse një biznes dëshiron të zgjerojë tregun e tij në Shqiperi, ai lehtë do të jetë në gjendje të kontrollojë se cilat janë rregullat aktuale në lidhje me mbrojtjen e të drejtave të blerësve, nëse ata mund ta kthejnë produktin, për sa kohë, kush të përballojnë shpenzimet etj. E njejta gjë nëse duhet të kontrollojnë se cilat janë dokumentet e nevojshme për regjistrimin e biznesit të tyre në Mal të Zi e kështu me radhë.

Përveç këtij moduli, platforma gjatë periudhës së ardhshme do të përmirësohet edhe me disa module të tjera: modulin “historitë e suksesit në e-commerce”, ku do të prezantohen histori suksesi nga secili treg i CEFTA-s dhe me dy module të tjera që do të mbulojnë aspektet kryesore të të bërit biznes në tregtinë elektronike – pagesa online dhe shpërndarja e produkteve. Secili prej këtyre moduleve do të përmbajë informacion përkatës specifik për tregun e veçantë të CEFTA-s, si dhe udhëzues, manuale, dokumente të lidhura me lëndën dhe prezantime video.

Zhvillimi i platformës “Ecommerce4All” mbështetet nga projekti i Fondit të Hapur Rajonal për Tregtinë e Jashtme të zbatuar nga Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) mbështetur nga Bashkimi Evropian dhe Ministria Federale Gjermane për Bashkëpunim Ekonomik dhe Zhvillim (BMZ). Qëllimi kryesor është përmirësimi i bashkëpunimit ndërkombëtar që promovon zhvillimin ekonomik rajonal dhe lokal dhe mbështet zbatimin autonom të politikave të harmonizuara me BE-në, që synojnë arritjen e zhvillimit të balancuar rajonal të shtetit.

Thirrje e hapur / KosICT22

Shoqata e teknologjisë së informacionit dhe komunikimit të Kosovës (STIKK) është në kërkim të kompanive te cila do të përkujdesen për shërbimet e organizimit të edicionit të 11-të të konferencës/festivalit të teknologjisë KosICT.

Si një katalizator në industrinë dinamike të teknologjisë, STIKK përshpejton rritjen dhe progresin në ekonomi. STIKK ofron një platformë që bashkon liderët e teknologjisë për t’u lidhur dhe bashkëpunuar me njëri-tjetrin dhe mbështet me entuziazëm anëtarët që shtyjnë përpara kufijtë e teknologjisë. Që nga themelimi në 2008, STIKK arriti suksese të shumta dhe u bë një nga shtytësit kryesorë të industrisë së TIK-ut dhe komunitetit të TIK-ut në Kosovë. Gjatë përpjekjeve drejt zhvillimit të vazhdueshëm të industrisë së TIK, STIKK ka realizuar projekte të shumta që kanë për qëllim promovimin e sektorit të TIK të Kosovës, përmirësimin e kornizës ligjore, implementimin e hulumtimeve dhe analizave specifike të industrisë si dhe të ndihmojë në zhvillimin profesional të aktorëve të sektorit.

KosICT është njëra ndër konferencat më të mëdha të teknologjisë në rajon dhe njëri ndër festivalet më të dashura të teknologjisë ku prezantohet i gjithë eko-sistemi i sektorit të TIK-ut në Kosovë. KosICT për herë të pare u organizua në vitin 2012 dhe që nga atëherë është rritur dhe ka bërë bashkë mijëra profesionistë dhe entuziastë të fushës së TIK-ut. Me më shumë se 550 folës dhe 6500 vizitorë ndër vite, KosICT është shndêrruar në një emër të respektuar në fushën e tekonologjisë dhe një ndër konferencat më të njohura të TIK-ut në rajon e më gjerë.

Zv. ministrja Liza Gashi në MARTEch, dakordim për tre çështje me kompanitë e STIKK

Ministria e Punëve të Jashtme dhe Diasporës do të bashkëpunojë ngushtë me kompanitë anëtare të STIKK për diplomacinë digjitale. Kjo u ra dakord në ‘MARTEch‘, takimi i të martave i organizuar nga STIKK, ku e ftuar ishte zv. ministrja e Punëve të Jashtme dhe Diasporës, Liza Gashi.

Në takimin e mëngjesit me përfaqësues të kompanive anëtare të STIKK, zv. ministrja Gashi tregoi për vizitën e kryeministrit Albin Kurti në SHBA dhe për bashkëpunimin që qeveria e Republikës së Kosovës është duke bërë me kompaninë Linkedin. Sipas zv. ministres Gashi, aktualisht mes dy palëve janë duke u shkëmbyer të dhënat për krijimin e një databaze të Kosovës.

Ndër të tjera ajo theksoi se festivali KosICT, i organizuar nga STIKK, është promovuar në të gjitha takimet me kompanitë amerikane, si një ngjarje e madhe e promovimit të sektorit TIK në Kosovë dhe më gjerë.

Anëtaret e STIKK treguan arritjet e kompanive si dhe bashkëpunimet që kanë në nivelin ndërkombëtar, kryesisht me shtete të Bashkimit Europian dhe SHBA.

Ne fund, u dakordua që mes STIKK dhe Ministrisë së Punëve të Jashtme dhe Diasporës:

  • të krijohet një grup punues për të forcuar bashkëpunimin për diplomacinë qytetare, si promovues të suksesit të sektorit TIK;
  • të mbahen të paktën 4 takime të rregullta në vit;
  • të punohet për një ndërlidhje më efektive mes STIKK dhe ambasadave të Kosoves në botë.

Kryetari i Komunës së Prishtinës, Përparim Rama, i ftuar në MARTEch, iniciativa e re e STIKK

Nje kafe me sektorin TIK. Kjo është motoja e iniciativës më të re të STIKK e cila titullohet ‘MARTEch’.

Martech synon të krijojë një hapsirë bashkëbisedimi midis anëtarëve të STIKK dhe të ftuarëve nga fusha të ndryshme publike ose private. Eventi mbahet në dy të marta të çdo muaji në formatin e një kafeje mëngjesi mes të pranishmëve.

Në MARTEch-un e parë i ftuar ishte , Përparim Rama, Kryetar i Komunës së Prishtinës. Gjatë bisedës me përfaqësuesit e kompanive anëtare të STIKK u diskutua rreth mundesive të bashkëpunimit dhe iniciativave për digjitalizimin e shërbimeve publike.

Z. Rama shprehu mirënjohjen ndaj sektorit TIK dhe ofroi bashkëpunimin e tij të plotë rreth zhvillimit të Prishtinës si një ‘smart city’. Ai tregoi gjithashtu gatishmeri për të mbështetur festivalin KosICT si dhe planin e mobilitetit për TechPark Prishtina, i cili është në fazën e fundit të punimeve.

Antarët e STIKK treguan për sukseset dhe zgjidhjet që i ofrojnë për kompanitë jashtë Kosove dhe shprehën gatishmerinë që njohuritë e marra t’i transferojnë në qytetin ku operojnë.

TechPark Prishtina hyn në fazën përfundimtare të ndërtimit

Puna për ndërtimin e TechPark Prishtina ka rifilluar, duke hyrë kështu në fazën përfundimtare të projektit. Ministria e Ekonomisë ka nënshkruar kontratën me kontraktorin për përfundimin e fazës së tretë të punimeve.

TechPark Prishtina është një projekt i iniciuar nga STIKK për të ofruar mundësi zhvillimi për të gjitha ato ide që sjellin risi.

Një mundësi e tillë është programi StarUp. Ky projekt, i financuar nga BE-ja dhe i zbatuar nga STIKK, synon të ndihmojë bizneset e vogla dhe të mesme si dhe startup-et e maturuara, duke ofruar hapësirë, shërbime profesionale, infrastrukturë moderne dhe promovim adekuat.

Në të njëjtën kohë, TechPark do të sigurojë lidhje dhe sinergji midis tregjeve vendore dhe ndërkombëtare, universiteteve dhe institucioneve të tjera mbështetëse.
